A student rents an apartment for the academic year​ (two semesters) with twotwo friends. The rent for the entire academic year is ​$8 comma 3408,340. Each​ semester, the student receives a bill for his share of the rent. If he and his friends divide the rent​ equally, how much must he pay each​ semester?

    I don't know what that number is supposed to be. You need to divide the total rent for the year by 6 Why 6? Because there are 2 semesters and 3 people. 2 * 3 = 6
