"y-intercept" is the same as "f(0)" Calculate the y-intercept of f(x) by finding f(0). g(x) is easier. You are given that g(0) = -3. Compare f(0) with g(0) = -3 and answer the question.

What did you get for f(0)?

How do you get f(Anything)? You substitute the value into the given definition.

    so f(6)(1.02)x

So how would I substitute that?

    \(f(x) = -6(1.02)^x\) \(f(0) = -6(1.02)^0\)

You will need better skills to get past this section. Think linger and harder. Don't get jumpy. Maybe you just forgot about the negative sign. Be more careful. \(f(0) = -6(1.02)^0 = -6(1) = -6\) Compare -6 (from g(x)) to -3 (from g(x))

I forgot the -6 but it would be B because it would be 2* -3
