    Solve both inequalities for the interval where \(k\) exists Solving the first equation, we see that \(3k \leq -9\) So we have that \(k \leq -3\) Now do the same for the second equation. After you get the answer, ask yourself if there is any k that would satisfy both conditions. If there is such a value, find it; if not, there is no solution.
