is there any difference in a prediction and hypothesis?

    A hypothesis is an assumption about the nature of something. It's based on facts or experimentation. A prediction is a guess about an outcome.

    A hypothesis is a possible explanation for a observation or problem that can further be tested by experimentation. Hypothesis' are also known as educated guesses. A prediction is a guess what might happen based on observation.
