There are four main Earth systems: 1. Geosphere The area from the surface of the Earth down to it's center. 2. Atmosphere The blanket of gas that surrounds our planet. 3. Hydrosphere All the water on the Earth. Including the water in the Atmosphere. 4. Biosphere All organisms on Earth as well as the environments in which they live. So a genetic scientist would study? Genetics, aka DNA. What is DNA? It's what makes us who we are, so therefore a genetic scientist would be a Biologist. BIOsphere = BIOlogist A Geologist would belong to the Geosphere group. GEOlogist = GEOsphere Geosphere is the Earth, right? Where do soil and rocks come from? The EArth. Therefore the answer is Geologist.
