You have shown no work. Do NOT tag people without first showing your work. You must know something about triangles. How to the three sides relate to each other?

You should have the "Triangle Inequality". This suggests that ANY two sides added together MUST me longer than the third side. If you have a 14 and a 4, the third side MUST be shorter than 14+4 = 18. Since all of the answers are less than 18, that doesn't immediately help much. This problem is just a little twist on this rule. If I have a 4, what other side can I add so that 14 still works? 4 + 8 = 12 -- Not long enough. 4 + 9 = 13 -- Not long enough.
