help will medal! @dan815 isthis the meaning of mantle: Movement occurs when two plates heading in the opposite direction brush against one another with a side to side movement.

    what you have there as the meaning is not the meaning but a function of "EARTH'S MANTLE"

    for example, people can place their mantle over you, it can mean like their covering, or their coat in some cases

    sometimes a mantle can mean things that arent exactly physical too, like during the days of Elijah and Elisha, when Elija's mantle fell over Elisha as Elija ascended into the Heaven.
