Algebra 1 – How to Graph a Linear Equation Using Slope and y. For example: y = 2x + 3 is in slope intercept form. The number in the m position (2) is the slope and it is a positive number so the slope of the line will be a positive slope.

that is a linear equation, a line you just need two points to graph a line, pick two small x values and calculate the y's that go with them

Let x = 0, then y = -3, first point (0, -3) pick one more x value then draw a line through those two points
