    well theres a property ( i forgot which, its been a while XD) but it states that x^whatever1 + x^whatever2 you can add the exponents (needs to be the same base). so it will equal x^whatever3

    so in this case a^2 * a^-3 will equal a^-1 yes?

    then you have a^-1 * a but remember that a is actually a^1 so add -1 + 1 which equals 0 you get a^0 another property states that any number to the power of 0 always equals 1 so you answer will be...?
