Find the equation of the vertical line which passes through the point (8,-9)

    equation of vertical lines are of the form \(\large x = c\) where c is the x co-ordinate of any point on that line!

    here the x co-ordinate is 8 so c= 8 so what will bethe equation?

    y = -9 would be my answer since x is horizontal?
