What is the antecedent of the pronoun underlined in this sentence? Meredith put on a helmet and rode her bike in the race. in this sentence her is underlined. A. race B. helmet C. Meredith D. bike

    ok....the pronoun is " her ". Who does her refer to ? Meredith rode HER bike is a lot easier to say then Meredith rode Meredith's bike...so the " HER" is put in their to replace Meredith. So the antecedent of " her " is Meredith.
