since there is 7 days a week. lets say we skip ahead 14 weeks, which is 98 days. we still have two days left so we add those two days to tuesday. and we get thursday.

it's an exact answer. what you're doing is dividing by 7 and adding the remainder to the amount of days. there are exactly 14 weeks (98 days) and then you add the 2 leftover days, thursday
