Michael has a drawer with 8 pairs of black socks and 12 pairs of white socks. Without looking he takes a white pair of socks out of the drawer. What is the probability that the next pair he takes out is white? A) 8/20 B) 8/19 C) 11/20 D) 11/19

    a) 8 + 12 = 20 and if he takes 1/8 its of the 8 pairs making it 8/20

    it is D : because he has took away one pair of white socks for the first event.which leave us with a total of 19 possibilities: 11 white socks + 8 black sucks (total possibilities)
