translate this into math equation `The length is 3 greater than twice its width. ` let length = L and width = w greater than means + sign is means `=` equal sign now translate that plz

you need two equation to get the length and width first one is 2w+2L= 78 perimeter is 78 so replaced p with 78 now translate 2nd equation which is ` The length is 3 greater than twice its width`

the equation we use for perimeter of rectangle is 2w+2L= P ( where p is perimeter L is length and w is width) now read the first sentence of the question `The perimeter of a rectangle is 78 cm` Perimeter = P which is 78 so i replace p with 78 in this equation `2w+2L=78`
