    x + 20 = 80 those are alternate interior angles

    If both mentioned lines shown in figure are parallel then... Since angle \((x+20)^o\) and \(80^o\) are alternate interior angle hence they will be equal \[(x+20)^o=80^o\]Finally \(x=60^o\)!
