Scientists can trace the steps of a biological process using small amounts of radioactive atoms. These radioactive atoms are followed as they undergo chemical changes and reactions, even when passed from one organism to another. In this assignment, you will trace the path of a labeled carbon atom through the biological processes of photosynthesis and respiration. The atom will start its journey inside a carbon dioxide molecule and it will end in the air inside a new carbon dioxide molecule. I actually just read most of the assignment. my strong suggestion is to review the chemistry showing the changes in the atoms and molecules for the reactions. Photosynthesis is a biological process that involves a chemical reaction.
