    Bring all the like terms together and remember that if a term crosses the equal sign the sign in front of it changes

    Sure. So the equation is 2x + 19 = x + 10 +9. we want to move all the x terms to the left side and all the terms without x to the right side

    No you're not subtracting anything. Just moving from one side to the other and changing the sign. The 19 on the left side has to move to the right side. Try that
