Temperature Change and Water Abrasion (Temperature Change) Because the weather is not constant, therefore the temperature changes. At day rocks expand due to the high temperature and contracts at night due to the cold temperature. Molecules are stressed inside causes the rock to be brittle. Like when you heat a marble to a high a very temperature, then was put to a cold water, it will cause the marble to crack (Water Abrasion) Small droplets of water that is continuous removes the sediments of the rock slowly. Sometimes An island on a shore has a curved structure between the water and its top. It is because the water slowly removes the particles of the rock causes them to break. But it consumes a lot of time
