    the first one has 4 terms in x so you can combine them into one term in x.

    The last one is false because 2x - x = x they said its equal to 3x

    think of x as an apple you have 10x - that's 10 apples - then you take one of them - then you take another 2 apples - and finally you take another one apple So how many have you got left?
