    slope is "change in y" divided by "change in x" find a point that is easy to read. Find another point to the right of this one that you can "read off" then count how many steps up (or down) from the first to the second point. that is the change in y. count how many steps to the right between the first and second point. now write the fraction change in y divided by change in x
