can someone explain me how to aswer this problem please? 46% of a randomly selected group of people said crime is the most serious problem facing our nation. The survey indicated a 5% margin of error. Explain what this indicates about the results.

    It means that the results are at least 95% accurate. The actual percentage of people who said crime is the most serious problem could be anywhere between 43.7% and 48.3%

    In this case 5% is 5% of total responders. So if you asked everyone somewhere between 41% and 51% would say it's a serious problem.

    You need to subtract 5 and add 5 to get the minimum and maximum value, yes.
