Individuality was important in the development of the Western Political Thought, because it was the basis of democracy. Judeo-Christian tradition, Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, as well as the English advanced individual rights. In Judeo-Christianity the way they expressed individuality was with the Torah/Bible,also known as the Hebrew Bible and a old testament for Christians. It stated that human beings are created in God’s image.Jesus, also knows as Jesus Christ, explained a personal relationship with God.He claimed to be the son of God. A man named Paul stressed the equality with God.Paul was an apostle and had a major impact on Christianity. He preached in cities and also said that Jesus was the son of God,and died for the people’s sins. In Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome individuality expressed itself by having I need help forming a 3rd paragraph and i have some questions to help with that.

Ok done hows it look? In Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome individuality expressed itself with its democracy. Pericles bettered the Greeks Democracy, by increasing paid public officials and paying jurors. The effect of this allowed the poor to participate in the government. Romans created laws, which gave all citizens equality under the law, also gave a person a right to stay innocent, until proven to be guilty. Rome picked up ideas from the Greece like that “An individual is a citizen in a state rather that the subject of a ruler”.

The English advanced individual rights though it’s wars and it’s laws. The Magna Carta increased individual rights and liberties by reducing the power of a king through a contract. The Glorious revolution occurred because they wanted to restrict Catholics from being in power as kings.Reason being was they were scared that a Catholic king wouldn’t respect the individual rights. This made a huge effect on England and is now a constitutional monarchy. The English Bill of Rights can be summarized as individual rights and liberties. It restricted monarchy’s powers, while protecting free speech in Parliament.
