Buddhism and Hinduism both originated on the Indian subcontinent. The two faiths often share religious beliefs, such as the belief in reincarnation and the desire for freedom from the cycle of death and rebirth. However, Hindu faiths often involve the worship of deities, while Buddhist faiths usually do not. Instead, Buddhist faiths often focus on the goal of individual enlightenment.
