f(x) is same as y so you can write that equation as \[\huge\rm \color{blue}{y}=7\color{ReD}{x}+2\] now to find inverse switch y and x \[\huge\rm \color{blue}{x}=7\color{ReD}{y}+2\] solve for y^

To find the inverse: Replace f(x) with y Switch x's and y's, so put x where y is and x where y is. Solve for y Replace y with f^-1(x)
