You seem to believe that a person's creative power comes from the belief in God, I beleive my belief in God the Father and Christ allows them to have full creative power.
Pray to him
Pray is defined as ask, I personally believe if one worships, follows, the Lords specific asking is not required, if fact it seems to me quite arrogant to say you know what you need and then ask for it. In the Gospels Christ say's God knows what you need before you ask, my point is if your doing what you should then it will be supplied.
@KenLJW Praying is talking to God. In a prayer, God says to worship, ask for what we need, etc. Its like when its almost his son's birthday party. The dad already knows what his son wants, but he wants his son to talk to him so he can tell him in person what he wants for his Birthday.
@Ineedhelpfast12 to answer your question, God wants fruits after someone belives in him. By fruits I mean: Sharing the Gospel, helping in Church, etc.
Actually the first commandment is "be fruitful and multiply" where fruitful is the things you say and do, multiply is procreate biologically. As for talking to God its a matter of perspective, some do it within their religious institutions, mine has become one of making my life a prayer which entails the why and manner of life I've choosen after years difficulties. Life has many twists and turns making it hard to sort things out. There's a difference between blind faith and one based past experience that can be correlated to scriptures, I may not see what's coming but I know where I've been and the direction I want to go.
You can divide the Pacific Ocean as Moses did with the Red Sea in the story of Exodus. You can suspend the sun's movement ( funny compared to what we know now in Cosmology right? ) as told in Joshua 10:13-14 when Joshua sought help from his god as he waged war. You can turn wooden staffs into snakes. You can cure the lepers. You can show people angels as described in the supposed holy books. You can show people snakes talking in the language known to mankind. You might say that these are no longer creative as they were already done. If they were done, it is quite rare in the modern times, effectively making it creative. If you want something unique, try making the expansion of the universe stop. You can show us the time - back to the past - when a being called god created everything. You can try to regrow the amputated limbs of soldiers or victims of land mines from previous wars. I can come up with more things for you to do if you're interested.
The way I knew God was real was by simply praying to Him. I would see things - impossible things and things that I cannot control - happen just by praying to him and having faith.
I to believe in the impossible, and have had miracles in my life, and come to understand what Christ meant when he said "With God all is possible". But I've come to understand and comprehend as children that grow up they must give way to childish things, as Christ said "You can not serve both manna and God". So as you go though life serve God the Father and sometimes you get a little manna.
praying means nothing if you have no covenant or relationship
Exudus chapters 20-23 are known as the Covenant, in Exodus 20 you'll find 14 commandments, 10 are abridged in Deuteronomy, and in 21-23 are some wise commandments, teachings, about any govenig body, whch by the way some our governing body's may of never of had. When one say's Covenant this is what I mean, as for relationship it comes down to what one means by worship, to me it mean follow and to follow you must decide what you are going to follow, a particular person, group, or organization, me I've decided to follow my Lords and follow scriptures as I've studied and tried to understand and comprehend. Note just my parents, I'm 64, my original Church, my culture, because in my life and studies I've found they may of strayed, as human tend to do, as I try to connect to what they were initially trying to do and live with my Lords.
pick up a Quran
I have but nor reading Arabic, Hebrew or Greek, I've resorted to various translations in my endeavor to understand and comprehend such religious matters, and ineevitably ran into people who say you have to read it in its origina tongue to truely comprehend. This is not limited to Western religions but also in the Eastern religions, as Hindu, which also make such claims. I've actually come to understand why this is in so many religions as Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Arabic, Hindu, and yes English, its actually a recognition of telepathy, actually scientifically proven as to the further developement in technology, and there maybe links created creating an entity in which specific language is linked. Frankly this process in not limited to religion but a specific language used in a field aa mathematic's or science. I have a question for multilingual people, when you accept a particuallar insight and understanding within your main language, where does it come, is it within that language or were there communications in one of your other languages that your not aware of. I'm not against multiplatforms but one must realize there may be a control factor that you may not be aware.
The whole world is evidence lol c:
Deuteronomy 28:45-68 There are many fulfilled prophecies. The Israelites did not follow God's commands, therefore the curses cam true. Rome attacked Israel and the people were scattered from their land, as prophesied. The land became desolate, Mark Twain visited Palestine and described the area as a desolate wasteland. Read the prophecies, they came true. Persecution and so on.
I can do nothing, but God already did a thing to for me to believe that He exists. Nature itself reveals the presence of God. Do you think the beauty of the plants, flowers, animals, etc. was formed through an explosion? definitely there is a Supreme Being who created them, even us..
I reject the concept of a Supeme Being and choose God the Father, the concept of a supreme being is to generic for me, just like the work God is used today. You worship as you will and I'll worship who I will, by the way worship means follow.
Well, it's up to you how you understand the word Supreme Being.. For me it just simply means a character or simply a being who is above all.
Saint Selmo in the middle ages had this treatise "that, that has no greater is God" and generally this has been accepted by most theologians. The problem is if you look through history there's been many attempts and sucesses of conquoring others and being that, that has no greater. The veiw of a Supreme Being coming in this way absent of certain foundation is abhorant to me, hence my belief in the coming of God the Father.
THE EVOLUTION MAKES NO SENSE!!!!!!!!! how can an ape transform into a human in less that a million years My name is Joann Thomas and I am a Pentacostal Christian BTW I know this was 5 mos. ago ;)
I'M PENTECOSTAL TOO :DDDDDD :3
I suspect 1+1=2 did not make sense to you at one time or E=m c^2. You can not say something doesn't make sense until you've studied it and find any fallacies within it. Generally the average Joe doesn't understand a lot of things and lives by what works in their life, to understand things beyond your immediate preview takes time. study, and research.
This also goes for religion, if you don't spend time, studies, and research in it you are just following those in authority, which may have their own reasons other than scriptures.
I needed to do a creative project on paper that shows ways that prove God's existence for a grade. None of what you replied related to such
Placebo effect is scientifically proven, the question is can religion actually be a placebo or reality. The question comes down to is a religion's placebo effect positive or negative, depending on your view it might be entirely positive toward healing or negative as in punishment. Of course this assumes belief's create the placebo effect not a creator.
