I think ...your item total cost of your item (c) is being discounted by 5%.....because the .07 is your 7% sales tax.

- PatrickWeeWoos

So c-0.05c is the discount percent

- texaschic101

.05 is the discount...which is 5%.
It is what the price of the item would cost with the discount

- texaschic101

c - .05c is the discount price....then you would multiply that by the .07 for the sales tax

- texaschic101

Example...
your item (c) costs $100. And you get a discount of 5% off of the item
.07(c - .05c) =
.07 (100 - .05(100) =
.07 (100 - 5) =
.07 (95) --- that 95 is the price of the item with the 5% discount
6.65 --- and this would be the sales tax

- PatrickWeeWoos

So the regular price? and one more question!

- texaschic101

I am not sure how to word it.....it is the price of the item minus the 5% discount

- texaschic101

I am sorry but I kinda lost track of time....I have to go now...I am so sorry :(

- PatrickWeeWoos

okay thank you
