Describe each of the four major U.S. regions. Focus on facts and details that make each region different or unique. Choose one cultural landmark for each U.S. region. You will have four landmarks. You may choose from those in the lesson. Describe why you chose each landmark. Explain how the landmark is important to its cultural region.
okay give me a few minutes to research the rgion and i'll get back to you
ok i know the first answer
its northeast, midwest, south , and west
now you just need to describe each region in your own words for #1 :)
i can tell you this that the climate of the Northeastern United States is impacted by the position of the general west to east flow of weather in the middle latitudes that much of the central and northern USA is controlled by. Mountain ranges to the west and proximity of the Atlantic Ocean also impacts the climate from the western highlands to the Atlantic lowlands. so that's climate for one of the region
ok number 2?
The Liberty Bell Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Liberty Bell, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is a huge bronze bell that symbolizes freedom in the United States of America, which is a landmark for the Northeast
is that the asnwer for number 2?
that was pick a cultural landmark
ok and can you describe the south and west region please :)
Much of the Southern United States falls into what's known as a "humid subtropical" climate, characterized by hot, humid summers and cool winters. The very southern tip of Florida falls into a tropical climate, with a distinct wet and dry season.
and a landmark for the south would be The Ernest Hemingway House in Key West.
ok and descirbe the west please
The West, region, western U.S., mostly west of the Great Plains and including, by federal-government definition, Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. So this is a start. just give me a little more time
and give me a west landmark
well that's simple. the Grand canyon is a landmark in the west
ok and give me a landmark for the midwest
well if im right, Mount Rushmore is in the Midwest
yep... describe each landmark
Well the grand Canyon should be self explanatory, its a canyon, Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore near Keystone, South Dakota, in the United States. Sculpted by Danish-American Gutzon Borglum and his son, Lincoln Borglum, Mount Rushmore features 60-foot sculptures of the heads of four United States presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
The Ernest Hemingway House, officially known as the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum, was the residence of author Ernest Hemingway in Key West, Florida, United States.
ok now number 3?
well the grand canyon is a source of power for the western region and is a big source of revenue for the states that it stretches through
The Ernest Hemingway House is a museum and a historical site for Florida because a famous writer lived and died there
And Mount Rushmore is important for its region because of the man who carved it out of the mountain, the revenue it produces. and it has the faces of important people
thats only 3 landmarks.. and can you say why they are important
I did say why they are important. and what region did I miss?
the liberty bell
Best Answer: On July 8, 1776, with the Liberty Bell ringing out from the tower of Independence Hall summoning the citizens of Philadelphia to hear the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence by Colonel John Nixon. The Pennsylvania Assembly ordered the Bell in 1751 to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of William Penn's 1701 Charter of Privileges, Pennsylvania's original Constitution. It speaks of the rights and freedoms valued by people the world over. Particularly forward thinking were Penn's ideas on religious freedom, his liberal stance on Native American rights, and his inclusion of citizens in enacting laws. As the Bell was created to commemorate the golden anniversary of Penn's Charter, the quotation "Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof," from Leviticus 25:10, was particularly apt. For the line in the Bible immediately preceding "proclaim liberty" is, "And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year." What better way to pay homage to Penn and hallow the 50th year than with a bell proclaiming liberty? I got some of the info from Wikipedia

Read the following paragraph. How does sentence 4 develop the main idea of the paragraph? Gertrude Belle Elion was born on Jan. 23, 1918, in New York City. She graduated from Hunter College in New York City with a degree in biochemistry in 1937. Unable to obtain a graduate research position because she was a woman, she took a series of jobs, including lab assistant, chemistry and physics teacher in New York City high schools, and research chemist. During this time she also took classes at New York University, where she earned a master's degree in 1941. Because she could not devote herself to full-time studies, Elion never received a doctorate. This sentence tells readers where she went to school for her doctorate degree. This sentence shows Elion's determination and commitment to learn. This sentence shows that Elion had to try many schools to get accepted into one. This sentence proves the idea that Elion had to learn biochemistry in unusual ways.
I would go with the second choice
but i'm not entirely sure
