Needing some clarification. Posting problem.

    So I am trying to solve a Segment Addition Postulate. Here is what I have got completed. \[(8y+4)+ (4y + 8) = 15y - 9\]\[12y+12 = 15y - 9\]

    I need the Y on the other side/ I need that - 9 replaced with the. 8y.

    ok you're good so far, next you will want to get all the terms with y in it to one side and all other terms to the other side

    2 lines of simplification there. just solve that bottom equation and youll have it

    ok. That makes sense. I wasn't doing anything after I removed the 12. So that's why I was confused.
