All macromolecules are polymers, but not all polymers are macromolecules. Basically, a macromolecule is a polymer that "let itself go", or is one that's freaky big (from a molecular comparison), like a lipid. Concerning complex molecules with random atoms, that'd be chaotic, with a lot of bonding & energy-release occurring. The order goes like this: Monomers combine to make polymers, that, if they become quite large, are considered macromolecules.

@EGaddIndustries Polymers are made up of monomers. Monomers are the building blocks of polymers.

Yeah, I know. I saw "true", but not the capitalized NOT...-_- My bad!

@Rushwr Shouldn't it be the last one? If it is the first, what exactly makes it incorrect?

Polymers aren't made of random atoms. It has the repeating unit called monomer.

Ok. I just knew not all polymers were macromolecules, yet all macromolecules are polymers.
