PLEASE HELP. How is constructing a perpendicular bisector similar to constructing an angle bisector? how is it different?

    To construct a perpendicular bisector of a line you use a compass and straight edge. The span of the compass must be greater that half the length of the line. Draw 2 arcs from each end of the line so that they intersect at 2 points , as below. Then draw the bisector through the 2 points of intersection.

    To bisect an angle you put the point of the compass at A and draw an arc as shown

    Now you place the point at B and draw an arc, then do the same at C so that the 2 arcs intersect. ( at D) Then you draw a line through A and D This lines bisects the angle A.

    So you draw 3 arcs to bisect an angle but only 2 to bisect a line. That is one difference
