We can scratch out A, as they were forced to. We can scratch out C because we know women didn't gain their rights for another several years. We can scratch out D beacuse they had NO African American officials in the years after. Not for another many years woul they have any African american governmental officials. Your answer is B. The north was a majority of democrats, the south was republicans.
