How would i do this? Need help, step by step. A square has a side of 6.25 feet. What is the area in square feet? Round to the correct significant digits

    the area of a square is the length * width for a square the length = width so the area of the square is the square of the length of the side

    So would it be 6.25*6.25 6.25^2 Answer: 39.0625 square foot ?

    that's what I would have. what does your notes say about significant figures?

    the process is fine but I am not sure about the significant figures. I used 2 decimal places because that was the same as original measurement

    You have to round it to the nearst .01 I think i got it right, thanks!
