The idea of the farmers alliance was to get the farmers out of debt and to help them make a profit. The farmers alliance had a saying or quote that was free or reduced coinage of silver, meaning the farmers alliance was all for inflation. It would mean inflation because the farmers were looking to mix in silver with the gold thus making the gold less valuable. However they didn't care they just wanted more funds and a fatter paycheck.
