What is one reason early clans of hunter-gatherers are not considered civilizations? They did not have art of any kind. They hunted animals for food. They made use of the resources around them. They did not build towns or cities.

    Civilization is classified today using 7 specific traits. They are the following 1. Stable food supply 2. Social structure 3. Government 4. Religion 5. Culture/Arts 6. Technology 7. Writing/Language Hunter-Gatherer societies had no defined social structure, no surplus of food, no permanent settlement, no government, and no set vernacular.
