we need the essay to do this one
Dear Mr. Johnston:
My name is Martha Dominguez. I am a member of the ninth-grade tennis club at Liberty High School. Every year we do a fund-raising social for the Sports for Kids Fund. People from the community can buy a ticket to the dance. At the dance, they can enjoy free food and drinks. This year's dance is on February 15th. We want to be able to give SKF as much profit as we can, so I'm writing to ask Pop's Soda Shop to donate to our cause. Many students enjoy the ice cream found at Pop's and would no doubt like to have it at our social. We are in need of ice cream soda supplies for 50 guests. By contributing the things needed to make the sodas, you will save money on advertising, increase your company's sales, and improve its image in the community.
By giving the ice cream soda supplies to the tennis club's event you will save your company money on advertising. A radio ad on KPPD 99.5 will cost you about $500 for a thirty-second spot, which the radio station says that about 300 people will hear it. A newspaper ad in the Regional Times runs about $300 per week and about 300 people get the paper. If you wanted to print 300 fliers, it would cost about $150 at the local copy shop. It will only cost you about $75 dollars worth of supplies to reach the 200-plus people invited to our event. . It might seem like serving only 50 sodas won't really bring attention to Pop's. This is not the case. There will be a special table for only drinks from Pop's Soda Shop right next to the door so people will see it when they walk in. If you donate the soda supplies so that we can set up the table, you will save money on advertising.
By giving us the ice cream sodas, you will increase your company's sales. First off, a survey by the U.S. Business Monitor says that 56% of people who get a sample of a product will return to by it. If 50 people try your sodas at our event, you will get more than 25 new customers. Secondly, word of mouth advertising will make more students come to your restaurant. Two out of three students polled said that they would tell a friend to try a food or drink that they liked. Finally, word of mouth advertising from parents and community members will boost sales. Last year, Manny Ramirez donated stuff from his place to our event and he said that most of the customers told their friends about his food.
You can improve your image of the company by donating. Students will think that Pop's is really cool if you donate. 10th-grader Chelsea Weinberger says, "I would so totally visit a place that gave us free stuff." Members of the community will feel good about Pop's commitment to helping out. Last year, Rhonda Bartlett, a City Hall employee, said of the event "I was so excited to see the support from several local restaurants. I am happy to spend my money at an eatery that is so committed to giving back to the community. I really respect the business owners and am happy to support them." The SKF will have a public ceremony to recognize donors, as well. This will make the company look great to potential customers.
In short, by giving the tennis club supplies to make 50 ice cream sodas you will do three things. You will save money on advertising. You will also increase sales. Finally, you will improve your company's image. I would very much appreciate your consideration of my request. The tennis club would like to finalize a list of donors by February 1st.
