- Nnesha

yes that's the formula to find average

- anonymous

ok um... how do i find the sum, and how do i divide by the number of numbers? :) @Nnesha

- Nnesha

sum means add
so add all the numbers
and then divide by the number of the numbers

- Nnesha

how many numbers are there ?

- anonymous

i add 2.64 and 0.35?

- Nnesha

`2.64 degrees Celsius, negative 2 over 9 degrees Celsius, −0.35 degrees Celsius, 5 over 8 degrees Celsius`
ADD all of them

- anonymous

ok

- anonymous

i got 2.69277778 @Nnesha

- Nnesha

yes right now how many numbers are in the list ?

- Nnesha

`2.64 degrees Celsius, negative 2 over 9 degrees Celsius, −0.35 degrees Celsius, 5 over 8 degrees Celsius`
how many numbers are there ?

- anonymous

4

- Nnesha

yes right so divide by 4

- anonymous

i divide 2.69277778 / 4 like that?

- anonymous

- anonymous

i got 0.67319444 @Nnesha

- anonymous

ok so whats the answer for the first question?
Write an expression to show the average daily change in the temperature of the city.

- anonymous

and please write all the steps and show the work

- Nnesha

average is same as slope
that tells us how to data is increasing or decreasing everyday
that's it

- anonymous

but it says to write an expression

- Nnesha

0.67319444 round nearest hundredth

- anonymous

but for number 1 its says to write an expression

- Nnesha

okay so average = write all numbers / 4
how did you type into the calculator what's what you have to write

- Nnesha

like for example \[\frac{ 2+3+4 }{ 3}\]

- anonymous

to make it easier just give me the full answer for number 1

- Nnesha

what do you mean give me the answer
we already go over that just rewrite it in ur notebook.

- anonymous

what is it?

- Nnesha

now round that to nearest hundredth

- Nnesha

for first one write \[\huge\rm average = \frac{ (a+b+c+D )}{ total ~number }\]
replace a ,b,c,d by the numbers u added
and then replace total number with 4
