k/5-b is the answer
b < k/5
so who is right? @Nnesha
is it `less than` or `less`
it's just 'less'
less means subtraction if it's just less then translate the sentence as it's but `less than` means backwards a less than b would be ` b-a` and if it's b less a then it would be `b-a`
But was @Zbratz7 or @texaschic101 right?
because @Nnesha you kinda dont make sense
there are 2 different meanings for just `less` and for `less than`
first translate `the quotient of a number k and 5` how would you write it in an expression quotient means divide
well the question doesn't say 'less than' it just says: Convert to an Algebraic expression: A number b less the quotient of a number k and 5.
Um would i write k/5
yes right so just use negative sign for word `less` b less k/5 = ??
did i do it right?
ye looks right to me do you have options ?
Nope. :( okay, thank you Nnesha!
hmm okay i hope that woould be correct .........
Looks correct to me :)
let me if it's wrong i'll apologize then
Lol you got it!
