    First you multiply both sides by 3. Then subtract 2 on both sides. Combine like terms. That's it.

    since u already know that you have to divide, the opposite of dividing is multiplying, so u would multiply to reverse this then subtract 2 because in the problem, u add which means u would subtract to undo this. also plug the answer back in it will help u understand and also check ur answer :)

    So I would go Step 1: 3*6=x+2/3*3 Step 2: 2-18=x+2-2 Step 3: 18-2x Step 4: 16 So, x = 16 @muscrat123
