Which of the following is true about the conclusion? The conclusion is the first step in a scientific investigation. The conclusion does not need to explain the results of the scientific investigation. Every scientific investigation needs a conclusion. Scientific investigations don't need a conclusion.

C because the conclusion is NEVER the first step so that cancels out A. The conclusion DOES need to explain the results it also needs to explain whether or not the hypothesis was correct or incorrect. So that cancels out B. Lastly, there does need to be a conclusion so that cancels out D and makes C true.

Just so you know, this should be in the science department, not the mathematics department. Not being rude just letting you know.
