Just help with simple fractions!

    \[\frac{ 7x+7 }{ 3 }= 5-\frac{ x+2 }{ 7 }\]

    My question is when you multiple 7 to both sides do you multiply the 5 as well?

    Yea but when you multiply 7 to get rid of the fraction do you just multiple the left side or include the 5?

    Why even multiply 7? Cut the nonsense and just cross multiply.

    So (7x+7)/3 + (x+2)/7

    Didnt know u could cross multiply if they were on opposite sides
