$\frac{ 7x+7 }{ 3 }= 5-\frac{ x+2 }{ 7 }$

2. anonymous

My question is when you multiple 7 to both sides do you multiply the 5 as well?

3. anonymous

Woops that 7x+7 is x+1 my mad.

4. anonymous

Yea but when you multiply 7 to get rid of the fraction do you just multiple the left side or include the 5?

5. anonymous

I would suggest isolating the fractions

6. Compassionate

Why even multiply 7? Cut the nonsense and just cross multiply.

7. anonymous

So (7x+7)/3 + (x+2)/7

8. anonymous

Make the denominators equal

9. anonymous

Didnt know u could cross multiply if they were on opposite sides
