What does it mean when it says, "When the members of the world's most powerful legislative body repealed the act they had passes less than a year before, it was not because the Songs of Liberty across the water had spread terror among thme. Nor was it because colonial asemblymen and pamphlteers had convinced themm they were wrong. Insofar as they were moved at all by colonial arguments, they were moved to exasperation, and repeal was engineered only by concealing from them the full extent of the divergence between colonial and British views.
