What was the purpose of the Immigration Act of 1924? to encourage immigration from new parts of the world to reduce Asian and European immigration to make the American population more white and more Protestant to reduce overcrowding in immigrant tenements

    I believe it is D due to the fact that politicians wished to reduce the amount of immigrants allowed entry.
