What was the main reason that the populist party failed

    There was much discord and chaos throughout the party's members. Many arguments halted progress and disrupted the party, in the end leading to the party's downfall.

    In many ways, the Populist Party defeated itself, although some of the ideals survived. Theodore Roosevelt resurrected many of these ideals and expanded the regulation of corporations.

    the main reason they failed is that the populist party asked for inflation. They wanted way to many things that were not in the best interest of the government.
