    Daoism itself portrayed women in a strong, positive light. Respect was born with the religion for the role that women took on within the household, idolizing women and entertaining the thought that men should attain feminine qualities aswell as forming equality between both men and women. C is the correct answer, Daoism presented positive female role models, so it had a positive effect on the role of women in China.
