    richards sympathetic nervous system will take over and his parasympathetic system will have lesser role. sympathetic nervous system helps activate the physiological changes such as increase in norepinephrine and adrenaline in such situations. parasympathetic system helps maintain homeostasis after the situation by activating acetylcholine and helps relax after such situations.
