I need help!!!! Why is it hard to have dramatic irony in first person point of view?

Well, what do you need for dramatic irony? What are the limitations of first person viewpoint?

So dramatic irony is clear to the readers but the characters can't see it. But if it's first person, then the narrator has to not see or notice the irony either, and that makes it harder to make it apparent to the reader.
