A concrete foundation for a building has the shape of a rectangular prism. The foundation is 15yards long, 10 yards wide, and 3 yards high. If concrete costs $3 per cubic yard, how much did the concrete cost for the foundation?

    You need to find the volume of the prism in cubic yards. Then multiply the volume by the unit cost of concrete.

    Correct. The volume is 450 cu yd. Now multiply 450 cu yd by $3/(cu yd). The cu yd units cancel out and you get an answer is dollars. What is 450 * 3 ?
