    |4x+12|=16 we need to get rid of the absolute value sign to do the we split the equation into 2 by (4x+12)=-16 and (4x+12)=16 we now solve each equations arriving at 2 solution

so 4x+12=-16 we take 12 frm both sides we get 4x+12-12=-16-12 4x=-28 divide both sides by 4 we get x=-28/4 x=-7 now solve the other equation to get the other solution for x 4x+12=16 ??
