## anonymous one year ago This is a part of refraction of light; does this statement not contridict it's self? As the speed of light is reduced in the slower medium, the wavelength is shortened proportionately. The frequency is unchanged; it is a characteristic of the source of the light and unaffected by medium changes.

it says the wave length is shortened (which i thin means higher frequency) and then it says that the frequency is unchanged

no $v = f \; \lambda$ both v and $$\lambda$$ decrease, f stays constant
