    -2 >= x/27 --- multiply both sides by 27 -54 >= x if there is an equal sign in the problem, it will be a closed circle....and greater then means shaded to the right. So what do you think now ?

    oh...wait...it can also be x <= -54...so it is less then (shaded to the left)

    13r <= -156 --- divide both sides by 13 r <= -156/13 r <= - 12 so r is less then or equal to -12 closed circle, shaded to the left so what do you think now ?

    ok....you got an open circle...means there is no equal sign in the problem....that eliminates D. It is shaded to the left....that means less then...that eliminates C. Your open circle is on 2....so that means x is less then 2.....answer is B. Understand ?

    ok...she does not want to spend MORE THEN $50. That means she can spend 50 or less. So it would be x <= 50.....you have to include the = sign because she can still spend 50.

    x + 1/4 >= 5/8 --- subtract 1/4 from both sides x >= 5/8 - 1/4 -- common denominator is 8 x >= 5/8 - 2/8 x >= 3/8 equal sign means closed circle....greater then means shaded to the right. answer is B
